2010 SEMA Preview: Fortune Motorsports Honda CR-Z

Automotive enthusiasts from all around the world are dreaming about tons of power, mean body kits and... an infinite list of custom car features as we are only one day away from the debut of the SEMA show’s 2010 edition.

One of the vehicles that will be in the top of tuners’ preferences but doesn’t come from America is the Honda CR-Z. A multitude of custom incarnations of the hybrid racer will be displayed at the event.

Today, we are previewing Fortune Motorsports’ vision on how a tuner CR-Z should mean. The company has only released a teaser image of the vehicle. However, it claims that the picture has a high level of accuracy, being as close as possible to what you’ll be able to see at SEMA.

The tuned creation will ride on generously-sized lightweight ADV.1 alloy rims that will be wrapped in Falken tires. The tuner has not released the exact modifications that will be made to the vehicle, only mentioning that it will collaborate with multiple partners, including Status Racing, Air Lift, STACK, Trent’s Trick Upholstery, JD Motorsports, Webasto, Shinzo Media, Magnaflow, Ignited HID’s, Wraptivo, Royal Purple, Light WurkZ and StreetGlow.

From what we can see in the adjacent image, the car will use a redesigned front bumper, fresh side skirts, aerodynamic exterior mirrors and a carbon fiber hood. The vehicle also seems to be riding closer to the ground that the standard version. The pic also allows us the see that the interior will be gifted with a set of bucket seats provided by Zeal.

However, it is unclear if the CR-Z's hybrid powertrain has received a power boost or not. We’ll just have to wait and see.
