2010 SAE World Congress Career Fair Looks for Automotive Engineers

SAE International announced yesterday it will be holding a World Congress Career Fair in Detroit in mid-April, when several companies looking to hire automotive engineering professionals will be able to talk with prospective candidates. The Career Fair will be held April 13-14 at Cobo Center in the lobby in front of Detroit Hall from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

SAE International is also holding a Career Development Session on April 14, at 9 a.m., in Cobo Center – Room D3-28. Open positions from additional companies will be posted at the Career Center, located in the lobby outside of Detroit Hall.

SAE International is a global association of more than 128,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive and commercial-vehicle industries.

The theme of the 2010 SAE World Congress is Ecollaboration (Engage, Exchange, Excel), meaning that it will be focusing on overcoming economic and environmental challenges with innovative solutions achieved through collaboration.

The event will feature topics such as powertrain solutions, energy policy recommendations, technology transfer, smart grid technology, meeting environmental and fuel economy requirements, and fuel economy claims for PHEV and hybrid vehicles.
