The 2010 Paris Auto Show is bringing us a new Top Cat, as Jaguar is unveiling the C-X75 Concept at the event.

The concept celebrates Jaguar’s 75th birthday and has been created as a range-extended electric supercar.

The vehicle uses an innovative propulsion system that combines four wheel-motors with two micro gas turbine engines. Each wheel gets its own 195 hp electric motor, which means that the car offers 780 hp and 1,600 Nm of torque  but also comes with all-wheel-drive. At the center of the vehicle, we can find two micro-gas turbines that run on LPG and can either generate 188 hp to charge the batteries and extend the range of the vehicle (the electric-only range stands at 68 miles) to 560 miles (900 km) or offer a power premium when the driver decides to use the “Track” mode. The concept only emits 28 grams of CO2 per km.

The vehicle, which tips the scales at 1,35 tons, can hit 62 mph in 3.4 seconds and is able to deal with the 50-90 mph (80-145 km/h) sprint in 2.3 seconds, offering a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h).

The C-X75, which is finished in Jetstream Silver, features Jaguar’s lightweight aluminum construction, has a drag coefficient of 0.32 Cd and offers an active downforce as it has been fitted with an underbody Venturi and directional exhaust gas control. The concept also indicates the future design direction that will be used by the company’s vehicles.

As for the interior, this uses a nano-technology sound system to provide active noise-canceling and comes with a sleek design.
