As a result of a partnership between PSA Peugeot Citroen and Venturi Automobiles, the Berlingo Powered by Venturi is currently being displayed at the 2010 Paris Auto Show. The car is similar to the ones that have been tested by the French postal services and has been commercialized in Europe since January 2010.

The Berlingo Powered by Venturi has been engaged in a Shanghai to Paris 100% electric journey of over 14,000 km earlier this year, as the company's Mission 02. Given to two adventurers (Geraldine Gabin and Xavier Chevrin), the vehicle left the World Exhibition in Shanghai on May 3 and arrived in Paris on July 13.

They had spent two-and-a-half months on roads and tracks crossing China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany and finally France.

The Citroen Berlingo "Powered by Venturi", which was used for this journey, is identical in all respects to the vehicle currently on display in Paris. Fitted with additional batteries, its range has been established at 500 km under real conditions.

The mission was dubbed the ‘Yellow Cruse return journey’. The Yellow Cruse, which took place from April 1931 to February 1932, also called ‘Mission Centre-Asie’ is one of the automobile raids organized by Andre Citroen. Venturi’s quest is in fact a return journey of Yellow Cruse.
