2010 Nissan Sentra and Sentra SE-R U.S. Pricing Revealed

Japanese carmaker Nissan has just announced the pricing details for its 2010 Sentra and Sentra SE-R, which come with several upgrades over the current models, including updated exterior styling on the Sentra 2.0, 2.0 S and 2.0 SL, and MSRP reductions on most trim levels.

Nissan Sentra fans that are short on money could go for the lowest priced version: the Sentra 2.0 with 6-speed manual transmission, which starts at $15,420. Among the new or revised option packages for 2010 is a Sentra Navigation Package (priced at $400), which includes a 5.0-inch color screen and XM NavTraffic Real-Time Traffic Information. The Navigation Package will be available from January 2010 on the 2.0 SL, SE-R and SE-R Spec V.

Nissan Sentra is offered in 2.0, 2.0 S, 2.0 SR (with sporty exterior and interior styling features) and 2.0 SL models, each equipped with a standard 140-horsepower 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that can be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission (2.0 only) or Nissan Xtronic CVT (2.0, 2.0 S, 2.0 SR and 2.0 SL).

The exterior styling changes include revised headlights and taillights for all models, a new grille and front fascia for 2.0, 2.0 S and 2.0 SL models and new interior fabrics on all trim levels. Three new exterior colors are also offered for 2010: Anodized Orange, Espresso Black and Aspen White.

Both the SE-R and SE-R Spec V are powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine (QR25DE), with the SE-R rated at 177 horsepower and the Sentra SE-R Spec V at 200 horsepower. New or revised option packages include the SE-R Upgrade Package, with power moonroof, Nissan Intelligent Key, XM Satellite Radio, RearView Monitor and 8-speaker 340-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system. In addition, the Spec V Upgrade Package comes with a Helical Limited-Slip Differential.
