2010 Nissan Rogue Donated to Heisman Trust

The American arm of Nissan announced that a 2010 Rogue is going to benefit the Heisman Trust, the Heisman Trophy's charitable organization. The carmaker will officially hand over the vehicle today, at the annual Heisman Memorial Trophy dinner to be held at the New York Marriott Marquis.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Heisman Memorial Trophy and the fourth year of its partnership with Nissan. During the season, Nissan sponsored the Sports Illustrated Heisman Tour, a 10-stop national tour held at marquee match-ups nationwide. The 2009 Heisman Trophy was awarded to Mark Ingram of the University of Alabama.

"Nissan congratulates Ingram on his Heisman Trophy win. His dedication and performance are characteristics that are valued by Nissan, and he deserves this exceptional honor,"
said Christian Meunier, Vice President, Nissan Marketing, Nissan North America.

"Nissan is proud to support the Heisman Trust as it continues to provide opportunities for the youth of our country and amateur athletics. We hope the raffling of the 2010 Nissan Rogue can help raise money for the many charities supported by the Heisman Trust,"
continued Meunier.

During the 10-stop tour, fans had the opportunity to meet former Heisman winners and college football legends. As presenting sponsor and the official ambassador of the Heisman Trophy, Nissan brought the Heisman Memorial Trophy to various college football games during the season and also showcased the 290 hp 2010 Nissan Maxima sedan.

"It's been an exciting season interacting with college football fans and helping the Heisman Trophy celebrate its 75th anniversary," Meunier added. "Nissan values the important partnership it's built with Heisman and the opportunity to recognize so many great athletes."
