2010 Nissan Altima Leaked Image

Japanese manufacturer Nissan recently rolled out a teaser photo with the new Altima, a model that is projected to be released later this year and go on sale in global markets in early 2010. The picture only showed a revised headlight and a the right front fog light so only little was actually visible in terms of exterior styling.

But today, the first official photo showing the 2010 Nissan Altima got leaked onto the web, giving us a glimpse into how the future model will look like.

As you can see in the adjacent photo published by icars.sg, the car is boasting a fresh new look, with a revised front fascia, upgraded headlights, grille and reshaped front bumper. The rear side isn't shown in the photo so we have to wait for more photos to surface before talking about these upgrades.

According to some media reports, there will be two engine configurations available, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder unit delivering 175 horsepower and a 3.5-liter V6 configuration that releases 270 horsepower. Two transmissions will be offered by the manufacturer, a 6-speed manual unit plus a CVT, only available as an option.

A hybrid version will be produced as well and will be offered with an electric motor generating 198 horsepower.

Standard features will include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags and front side airbags. A navigation system is available as an option and includes a rearview camera. Other highlights include leather upholstery and a wireless cell-phone link and Intelligent Key with Push Start Ignition.
