2010 Nissan 370Z Roadster Revealed

Nissan has just presented the 2010 370Z Roadster, a new model that is expected to arrive in authorized dealerships in late summer this year. The car is based on the current-generation 370Z Coupe that came out in January 2009 and shares a lot of parts, including the engine, transmissions, suspension and platform with this particular model. The 370Z Roadster will be offered in two different models, 370Z Roadster and 370Z Touring Roadster, both of them with a choice of seven exterior colors: Solid Red, Magnetic Black, Brilliant Silver, Platinum Graphite, Pearl White, Monterey Blue and Black Cherry (premium color).

The whole range will rely on a the fourth-generation VQ series 3.7-liter V6 engine that develops 332 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 270 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm. The engine is mated to an electronically-controlled 7-speed automatic transmission with manual shift or a 6-speed manual transmission with SynchroRev Match.

Furthermore, the car brings lightweight aluminum hood, doors and trunk lid, High Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-functional xenon lights and LED brake lights with distinctive "boomerang" design as well as fixed glass wind deflector and dual outlet exhaust.

Cruise control and Nissan's Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition is offered as standard, as well as automatic temperature control, power windows with auto one-touch up and down feature, power door locks with auto locking feature and adjustable front head restraints.

In terms of safety and security, the 370Z Roadster comes with a wide array of features, including Nissan's Advanced Airbag System (AABS) with dual-stage supplemental front airbags with seatbelt and occupant classification sensors, front seat-mounted side impact supplemental airbags, door-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental airbags, energy-absorbing steering column, aluminum side-door guard beams and Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
