Mercedes today announced the availability of a new AMG sports package for the 2010 E-Klasse which is said to bring several sporty and dynamic features to an already-stylish model. The new sports package is available for every single engine variant included in the E-Klasse range, the German automaker said in a statement for the press.
The AMG bodykit consists of an AMG front apron with large cooling air intakes, AMG rear apron and AMG side skirts. There are two different types of exhaust tailpipes available, as it follows: single, oval tailpipe in polished stainless steel for four-cylinder diesel models and twin oval polished stainless steel tailpipes for four-cylinder petrol models. “All the six and eight-cylinder models feature twin, rectangular tailpipes of polished stainless steel integrated into the AMG rear apron,” Mercedes said in a press statement.
Other exterior highlights include 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels painted in sterling silver, 245/40 R 18 wide-base tires at the front and 265/35 R 18 tires at the rear, perforated brake discs and Direct Control suspension lowered by 15 mm.
The interior has been customized with front sports seats made of a combination of Dinamica microfibre/Artico man-made leather with light-colored seat upholstery. A sport pedal cluster in brushed stainless steel, a shift lever in nappa leather with chrome highlights and AMG sport steering wheel with three spokes are also included in the package.
In case you're wondering what's the price of the AMG package, you should probably know that depending on the engine variant and the design, the AMG bodykit costs between 2915 and 4046 euros (incl. 19 % VAT). The package will become available in March 2009.
