2010 Land Rover Freelander 2 Live in Geneva

Land Rover today introduced the new 2010 model year Freenlander 2 and the Range Rover "Westminster" Limited Edition at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show.

First of all, the limited edition. The Range Rover TDV8 codenamed "Westminster" will go on sale in the UK at the end of March, featuring numerous exclusive parts, as it follows: 20-inch Diamond Turned wheels, half-wood steering wheel, stainless steel accents to the brake and accelerator pedals. Available in either Santorini Black or Stornoway Grey, the limited edition will be priced at £62,995 with Ivory/Jet or Jet/Jet interior colors or at £63,995 with limited edition metallic paint color.

John Edwards, Land Rover UK managing director said: "The dramatic visual impact of the 'Westminster' coupled with the Range Rover's supreme breadth of capability and acclaimed TDV8 diesel powertrain, makes this edition an exceptionally enticing proposition."

Getting further to the 2010 Freelander 2, the new model comes with a diesel engine featuring several fuel-reducing technologies, including a stop/start system as standard. Thanks to all these features, the Freelander 2 achieves a combined fuel consumption rating of 42.2 mpg, with CO2 emissions reaching 179 g/km.

Remote central locking, seven airbags, two ISOFIX points, power steering, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors, air conditioning, auxiliary audio jack, Roll Stability Control (RSC) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) are available as standard on all models.

Pricing for the new series varies between 21,295 pounds for the TD4_e S version and 32,595 pounds for the TD3_3 HSE top of the range model.

A number of optional features are also available, as it follows: automatic transmission for £1,380.85, Satellite Navigation System (on 'GS') for £1468.09, DAB radio (on 'S', 'GS' and 'XS') at £195.74 and an Alpine Dolby Prologic II 7.1 surround sound audio system, with radio and six-disc in-dash CD changer and 13 speakers (on 'GS' and 'XS') for £1022.77.
