2010 Kawasaki GTR1400 Revealed

First announced by Kawasaki in September 2006 in the USA, under the name of Kawasaki Concours 14, the second generation GTR1400 has been recently revealed, trying to earn the ‘best in class’ recognition. Apparently, it has all the chances to do so, as the Japanese manufacturer likes to brag about, thanks to the new touring features and updated technology.

Still based on the platform of the ZX-14, the new generation GTR1400 adds a number of new systems destined to improve handling and stability.

Taking the KTRC, for example, Kawasaki’s first traction control system helps the rider take on the slippery surfaces. The K-ACT II selectable, sport-oriented coactive ABS improves braking performance on a wide variety of riding surfaces.

Other additional features, bodywork refinements and detail changes increase rider comfort, and helps the bike become a must have just where it is needed - in long-distance journeys.

A larger windscreen for weather protection, new heat-dissipating bodywork for better heat management, heated handgrips, upgraded computer functions, a relocated glove box, and tank bag hooks offer added convenience and increase the new GTR1400's touring performance.

According to Kawasaki, the key features of the 2010 GTR1400 are listed below:
  • new Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC)
