After a few days ago British manufacturer Jaguar released full details and photos of the new XJ, today they announced the flagship will make its official public debut at this year's London Hurlingham Club Salon Prive, set to open its doors on July 22.
"Salon Privé is the right choice for us to debut the new XJ. The quintessentially British setting of the Hurlingham Club is the ideal venue to debut the latest in a long line of iconic British luxury cars and the event offers an excellent opportunity to put the new XJ in front of an audience of potential customers,” Geoff Cousins, Jaguar Cars UK managing director said in a release.
The new XJ comes equipped with a choice of three engines, namely the 3.0l V6 diesel, the 5.0l V8 petrol and the 5.0l V8 petrol supercharged. The smallest of the three, the 3.0l V6, develops 275 PS and 202 kW. Mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, as is the case with all of the three variants, it reaches 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds and tops at a speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
Alongside the new XJ, the manufacturer will bring along its 2010 XF and XK series. The cars will be on displaythroughout the event. Of course, Jaguar will not be the only manufacturer attending the Salon Prive. 50 of the most exclusive super cars and 60 of the rarest cars classic cars can be seen in London next week.
