2010 GMC Terrain Pricing Announced

American manufacturer GM has announced today pricing for its 2010 GMC Terrain five-passenger crossover, which will become available in September. The Terrain starts at $24,995 for the front-wheel drive model and $26,745 for the all-wheel drive one. Both prices include a $745 destination and freight charge.

The Terrain comes in two trim levels, available for both versions. The base SLE1 comes equipped with the new 2.4l direct-injection engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. EPA-estimated highway fuel economy for this engine is 32 miles per gallon (7.3l/100 km).

Standard features on the SLE1 model include rear-view camera system, six-speaker AM/FM/CD audio system with USB connectivity and XM satellite radio service, six airbags, StabiliTrak vehicle stability control and OnStar.

The top level SLT2 is equipped with 3.0l direct injection V6 engine and brings, as standard, leather seating, a premium Pioneer sound system, a power liftgate, sunroof and a special chrome appearance package. This version starts at $29,995 (including DFC).

The Terrain allows us to build on the evolution we started with the Acadia, applying the distinctive styling and capabilities that have always been a part of the GMC DNA to smaller, more fuel efficient vehicles that customers are seeking in today’s rapidly changing market,” Susan Docherty, GM vice president said.

We think Terrain is a bold statement of GMC’s key role within the reinvented General Motors,” she added.

Production of the GMC Terrain will begin at the CAMI assembly plant in Ingersoll, Ontario, pending the release on the market scheduled for September.
