2010 Geneva Auto Show: Citroen Survolt Concept

Citroen teased us in the past with various pictures of what it called the company's preview of the electric mobility so the time has arrived to see exactly the way the French manufacturer sees its "green" future. Citroen presented at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show the Survolt, a new concept derived from the Revolte concept car displayed at Frankfurt last September.

Unfortunately, the 3 pages and half press release issued by Citroen doesn't tell us too many details regarding the concept, other than the dimensions - 3.85 m long, 1.87 m wide and 1.20 m high, and the fact that it is driven by electric power.

The rest of the information are actually glossy words that describe the car in a corporate way, just like a mother talking about his son. The exterior is (in Citroen's words) "charming and profound at the same time" while the LED light "adds a contemporary high-tech touch". The car "features strong contrasts between the voluptuous bonnet and generous, sculpted flanks, highlighted by emphatic wheel arches that promise performance and thrills."

As for the interior, the cockpit is "designed like a floating cell, a glass setting held between chrome-finished roll bars like some magnificent piece of jewellery." And that's not all. "The car’s generous glazed area brings light and a sensation of space, light years from that offered by today’s sports cars."

The concept features a two-tone paint, hues of fuchsia and charcoal grey, with chrome and aluminum recalling "the spheres of luxury goods and motor sport".

And since this whole article (except for the pictures which we invite you to browse below) was all about the way the French carmakers likes to juggle with words, let's just finish in a Citroen-ish way (also words from the official press release).

"Citroen dares and creates" (yawning...).
