2010 Citroen C-Crosser Released

The 2010 Citroen C-Crosser is the facelifted version of the current model which comes with a bunch of enhancements, including a revised interior, upgraded engines plus a dual clutch transmission that contributes to fuel efficiency and ride comfort. The French manufacturer introduced a new 6-speed electronic DCS (Dual Clutch System) gearbox that can be mated to the 2.2-liter HDi 16V DPFS engine that generates 156 horsepower. Similar to other dual clutch units, the new transmission provides both automatic and manual driving modes, with paddles available behind the steering wheel. A "Sport" mode is available as well, providing faster throttle response and obviously better performance. The new range is also greener, with the 2010 C-Crosser now releasing around 192 grams of CO2 every kilometer. Fuel consumption goes around 38.7 mpg (6 l/100km) in combined cycle. As for the interiors, Citroen brought new features as well. Bluetooth connectivity is now standard on the Exclusive trim while automatic windscreen wipers are standard across the entire range. The revised model will be showcased at the Frankfurt Auto Show, with sales expected to begin in a few months. Citroen C-Crosser was officially rolled out in 2007 and is developed on the same platform as Peugeot 4007 and Mitsubishi Outlander. It is currently manufactured in Mitsubishi's Mizushima plant, in Japan, which makes it the only French car assembled in Japan. autoevolution will be attending the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of these vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions.
