Naturally, every warm-blooded tuner is now concentrating on the freshly released C63 and C63 Coupe models, and that’s probably why this carbon fiber kit for the 2010 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG comes as a breath of fresh air.
The name of the nostalgic tuning outfit is Carbonfiber Dynamics, a company based in Dortmund, Germany, involved mostly in the fabrication of car parts made out of the light material we all know and love. And some also imitate.
Carbonfiber Dynamics (or CFD, as friends call it) builds parts for all sorts of third-party tuners and designers like Boca Design, Varis/VRS or 3DDesign, but it also comes up with its own proposals whenever possible.
As for the brands over which CFD’s attention has spanned over the years, you’ll find there every major German manufacturer - Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche or Volkswagen - but they won’t say no to anybody interested in a collaboration, as long as the demands are reasonable.
This 2010 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG sedan we have here wears a custom made carbon fiber body kit devised by Boca Design and executed by CFD. It’s made up of a front lip spoiler that looks like it extends the car’s length by a few good inches, a carbon-kevlar Black-Series-like hood with air vents and extra creases, side mirror covers, side sills, an air diffuser, and a big-ass wing on top of the trunk lid.
The transformation continues with a set of 19-inch BBS wheels with an organic design and Toyo tires to match. CFD’s 2010 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG also gets a set of Bilstein B16 PSS10 dampers for improved handling.
Wrapping everything up is... the Avus blue wrap delivered by Drive and Style, which covers everything but the carbon fiber elements.
CFD hasn’t released any info regarding the price for this package, but considering it uses top suppliers like Bilstein and BBS and lots of carbon fiber, we wouldn’t bet on it being cheap. Here’s a photo gallery for you to enjoy for free, though.
