The 2010 Golf GTI is able to sprint from naught to sixty in 6.9 seconds, while reporting a combined fuel consumption figure of 7.7 l/100 km (30.5 mpg) and a 180g/km carbon emission figure.
New for the GTI in Australia is the Extended Electronic Differential Lock (XDL), which improves grip and traction and reduce understeer and the option of an Adaptive Chassis Control (ACC) system, which means that the car has three electronically controlled suspension settings (normal, comfort and sport).
