As you can see for yourselves in the adjacent photos the new Q7 doesn't bring too many exterior improvements, except the slightly restyled grille with chrome accents and redesigned bumpers and minor modifications to the side sills. The car is now offering LED taillights and halogen headlights (xenon and a couple of other features, such as LED daytime running lights, adaptive-lighting system and air intake-mounted LED turn signals come as optional).
A new instrument cluster with larger displays greet the driver when stepping in, with door-mounted ambient lights and new materials. While leather upholstery is offered as an option, the standard fabrics are available in black and light gray (aluminum and wood finishes are includes in separate optional packages).
And now, the powertrain information. There will be two petrol units and four diesel configurations. The petrol options include a 3.6-liter FSI V6 with 206 kW (280 bhp) and 360 Nm of torque and a 4.2-liter FSI V8 that generates 257 kW (350 bhp) and 440 Nm of torque.
The diesel lineup consists of a 3.0-liter TDI With 176 kW (240 bhp) and 550 Nm of torque, a so-called "clean diesel" 3.0 TDI that achieves 26.4 mpg in combined cycle and perfectly complies with 2014 Euro 6 emission regulations. A 4.2-liter V8 TDI option generating 240 kW (340 bhp) will be also available, with fuel consumption ratings of 21.1 mpg (11.1 l/100km) and 23.7 mpg (9.9 l/100km) in city and highway conditions respectively.
The top engine will be the V12 TDI that produces no less than 368 kW (500 bhp) and 1,000 Nm of torque and pushes the 2010 Q7 from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. Equipped with this engine, the new Q7 goes as fast as 250 km/h (155.3 mph), with fuel consumption ratings around 20.8 mpg (11.3 l/100km).
