2010 Audi Brand Ambassador: Justin Timberlake

German car brand Audi named Justin Timberlake, the American pop musician and actor, as their star ambassador for 2010. Recently, Justin and Heroes actress Dania Ramirez headed to Los Angeles to film a commercial for the four-ring brand.

In fact, the artist has been contracted just in time for the market introduction campaign of the new A1, which is set to kick-off sometime in the spring of 2010.

“Audi has  always been at the forefront of engineering and technology“,
says Timberlake, „and I am very excited to be a part of the next evolution conscience with Audi and the A1“.

“Justin Timberlake is an extraordinary artist. He manages to keep advancing his personal development while proving his abilities in different branches of the arts,” says Peter Schwarzenbauer, Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG for Marketing and Sales.

“As a superstar he appeals to a young target audience that we’re particularly intent on exciting about the compact and efficient A1, which is superlatively well suited for city traffic.”

As we said in a previous report, the A1 will be offered in Sportback, Cabriolet and Crossover guise. Earlier rumors are hinting that the Audi A1 is projected to arrive in European dealerships as soon as early 2010 and will be initially available as a three-door model.

It will be based on the A1 Concept showcased for the first time at the 2007 Tokyo Auto Show but will come with slight modifications, as some features would not make sense on a production model.

The first public unveiling is yet to be announced, but the 2010 Geneva Auto Show might be the first event to witness the launch of the A1.
