The second edition of the Aston Martin ON ICE winter driving course kicked-off today, after the positive feedback received last year from customers, and the number of driving days was further increased. 150 customers from 14 countries are traveling to the Swiss ski resort St. Moritz this year to attend the event.

According to Aston Martin, the participants come from countries such as Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Canada and even Singapore.

They will be accommodated at the 5-star Grand Hotel Kempinski des Baines in St. Moritz. Moreover, the company’s four-door sports car, the Rapide, will be on display right outside the hotel.

"Here at Aston Martin ON ICE our customers have the opportunity not only to get to know the emotional values of our brand in a very special atmosphere,” Marcel Beci, General Manager of Aston Martin Europe, said in a release. “We will also show them, how an Aston Martin stays controllable even in difficult weather conditions and demonstrate that driving our sports cars in the winter on snow and ice is not only possible without any problems but is also great fun.“

The winter driving course set by the British sports carmaker will run for six days, with approximately 25 customers per day driving Aston Martin models such as the V8 and V12 Vantage, DB9 and DBS – all fitted with winter tires.

They will be guided by four Aston Martin instructors and will learn how to properly drift and spin, oversteer, understeer, perform braking and swerving manoevres, drive slaloms and finally perform a J-turn.
