2009 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible Blush Announced

Volkswagen Beetle has always been a fairly appealing model, with steady sales in various regions of the world. Because of that, every single limited edition that may come out seems to be particularly aimed at maintaining people's interest in the brand. Given these facts, Volkswagen today announced a new special edition Beetle Convertible, codenamed Blush, which incorporates all features available on the standard version but adds a wide range of exclusive elements and design cues.

Unfortunately, Volkswagen hasn't released photos showing the model so all we can do is to imagine how it looks using the description provided by the manufacturer.

First of all, the 2009 Beetle convertible Blush sports an exclusive exterior and interior color, not available on the standard Beetle, according to the German automaker. The car is painted in metallic White Gold with a red convertible top while the interior is covered in
rich red leather, which makes the Blush the only Beetle convertible featuring this kind of material inside the car. In addition, Volkswagen installed a red booth for when the convertible top is down plus exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels.

Just like the standard model, the Blush edition is powered by a 2.5-liter engine developing a maximum output of 150 horsepower combined with a torque of 170 lb-ft. Volkswagen says the special edition comes with a six-speed automatic transmission for reduced fuel consumption and lowered CO2 emissions.

Only a few models will be production, with each model to be sold for $26,990 compared to around $17,900 for the New Beetle and $22,600 for the convertible flavor (UK prices).

As mentioned, there are no photos or more details regarding the Blush model available for the time being, but we promise to bring you more info as soon as provided.
