2009 Mitsubishi Outlander RX Special Edition for Australia

Mitsubishi today rolled out a special limited-edition Outlander dubbed RX that is available only to Australians. The manufacturer will produce only 300 units of the RX so, if you really want to park it in front of your house, you should hurry up a bit. And because technical specs are the most important when talking about special edition models, let's review the things the RX has to offer.

First of all, the exterior, Mitsubishi installed 18-inch alloy wheels with front, rear and side dams plus chromed exterior door handles and mirrors. HID headlamps, headlamp washers and a high-end reversing camera are also available.

Secondly, the interior. The first things you'll notice when stepping into the car are the decorative front and rear door trim ornaments and the exclusive seat trim. Interiors
have been also customized with chromed interior door handles, Bluetooth support, Smart Key entry, an advanced audio system plus Mitsubishi's Multi-COmmunications System with satellite navigation.

In addition, the special edition RX also boasts a high level of safety, with driver, passenger, side and curtains airbags coming as standard. Moreover, the car incorporates a number of other safety features, including Mitsubishi’s Active Stability Control with Traction Control (ASTC) system and All Wheel Control (AWC).

Aside from all these features, the vehicle is said to provide enhanced fuel economy, with the average fuel consumption achieving 10.9 liters per 100 kilometers in combined mode. Well, that's surprising for such a powerful SUV...

There's no price information at this point but we do know that the RX will be sold through a network of around 200 Mitsubishi dealerships in Australia.
