The Jaguar-Land Rover family comes in bulk to the 2009 London Motorexpo. After late last week Land Rover announced which cars it will display at the event, it is the turn of its Jaguar cousin to do the same. And the two cats which will star at Canary Wharf are the Jaguar XFR and XKR.
"The XFR and XKR have been critically acclaimed by the UK’s motoring media since launch, both for their beautiful design and exceptional driving dynamics. London’s Motorexpo allows us to reach an incredibly desirable audience and with research showing that 85 percent of visitors to the show don’t attend any other motoring event, it is important for Jaguar to have a presence,” Geoff Cousins, Jaguar cars managing director said in a release.
Performance wise, the two vehicles are largely similar. Both are powered by a 5.0l engine (385 horsepower and 515 Nm of torque), a type of unit that makes the XFR reach 100 km/hour from a standstill in 4.7 seconds and the XKR in 4.6 seconds.
Alongside the two, Jaguar will display at the event the recently launched XF Diesel S. The new addition to the executive car segment is powered by a 3.0l diesel engine, bigger than the previous 2.7l version, 1.8 seconds faster and 10 percent less harmful to the environment.
To rise to the occasion, the manufacturer has also announced the prices for the two Cats. The 2010 Jaguar XFR is priced at £59,900, while the XKR Coupe starts at £72,400. The cars can be seen at the London event in between June 8 and 14.
