Produced between 2004 and 2006 in just 4,038 units, the Ford GT is one of the most rare and revered sports cars not only in the U.S., but the entire world. For a "mere" $399,988, you can be the new owner of a perfect condition prototype used by the Blue Oval for durability, weather conditions and reliability testing.
Just like all the other GTs, the PB1-3 gets its power from a 5.4-liter supercharged Modular V8 engine in the middle. It produces a respectable 550 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 500 lb-ft (678 Nm) of tire shredding torque at 3,750 rpm. Those stats are good enough for a 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint of 3.5 seconds and a top speed electronically limited at 205 mph (330 km/h).

What really differentiates this prototype from a standard Ford GT is, of course, its Heritage Blue exterior paint job and the lack of go-faster stripes. Also featuring a custom exhaust system with racing headers and a style 2 muffler, a pre-production six-speed manual transmission, control arms identical to the CP-1 and a detailed history record, this car is definitely a rare find which will go up in value year over year.

More so when you take into account that it was owned by a bloke named Steve Saleen. You know, the former racing driver that founded Saleen Automotive in 1983. In case you didn't know, Saleen is an American company that manufactures high performance speciality vehicles like the S7 supercar and highly modified Ford Mustangs.

The Ford GT prototype PB1-3 is advertised "far below the assumed market value" by Porsche Auto Palace.
