While most people expect to get a phone call after dropping their car off a car dealership, few expect to get the kind of call that some Boston-area Jaguar and Land Rover owners received this morning. A fire broke out at Herb Chambers Jaguar Land Rover at around 1:07 a.m., and when all was said and done, a total of 20 cars were damaged or destroyed.
WCVB is reporting that the Sudbury Fire Department arrived and eventually put the fires out, but not before the damage was done. Images taken this morning by the Sudbury Fire Department show a parking lot full of Jaguars and Land Rovers that were heavily damaged as well as shots of the crews working to extinguish the blaze.

Some of the cars suffered minor damage or are at least still recognizable, but some of the other all-aluminum cars burned so badly they were just a lump of melted metal. It's not clear how many of the cars were owned by customers and how many were owned by the dealer.

Herb Chambers, the owner of the dealership, only heard about the fire after watching the news, but it still sounds like there is some confusion as to whose insurance will cover the damage.

"We have insurance, you know but, you know then the question becomes, 'Is it our insurance? Is it the customers' insurance?' I just, I hate to have the customer in the middle of this," Chambers was quoted as saying in the article.

The fire is still under investigation, but the report says that investigators aren’t looking at this fire as arson or any other suspicious activity. Head over to WCVB for the full report, and check out the images of the fire below.
