2 Dead in Detroit Drag-Racing Accident

As danger is all around, especially if you’re behind a wheel or in a moving vehicle, is quite hard not to become paranoid. It often happens that people get defensive and scared, leading to strange behavior.

On the other hand it’s important not to forget that your actions can cause irreparable damage and that you’re the only one responsible for your actions. In this note, tragedy struck in Detroit last night, as drag racing could be the cause behind the deaths of two persons on the city’s west side late Sunday night, DetNews reported.

Officers say the woman driving a Pontiac G6 and her male passenger were killed as their car was powerfully hit by a speeding Dodge Charger. One of the most possible causes is that the incident occurred due to an unlawful drag race between the two vehicles.

Another possible explanation is that the red Charger was traveling at an extreme high speed. The number of passengers in the Dodge is still unknown. The driver ran away from the scene as he probably realized he was in over his head. But a short time after the crash a 22-year-old man came to the scene and began removing items from the abandoned car.

As the suspect was detained for questioning to determine if he had any part in the crash, we hope that things will become clear as soon as possible and action will be taken against the people responsible.
