We keep seeing cool cars from the '80s and '90s popping up for sale on the Internet after they've been kept in pristine condition, without being driven or even exposed to the elements of nature. I guess this is the closest we can get to traveling back in time.

Just imagine being able to walk into a dealership of your choice, buy your old-school dream car with zero miles on it, and drive it around today. Being able to experience a car that you might have dreamt about in your childhood, but which was impossible to attain at the time, must be fantastic.

The Dodge Viper was introduced in the early '90s, 1991 to be more specific, and it became an instant classic. Its poster version could be found hanging on the walls of car-loving kids across the world. I've had multiple Vipers as wallpapers for my computers for years and years, back when Windows 95 was still a thing!

So you can't help but get excited when you see one of these cars going up for sale with almost no miles on it. After all, 17 miles (27 kilometers) is what you'd expect when you take delivery of a brand new car, as that's how much it gets to travel around parking lots and factory floors.

We're happy to know that the owner didn't miss out on the Viper experience, though, as he had already purchased a GTS Coupe in addition to this particular car, which ended up staying at the dealership in Crawfordsville, Indiana, for several years before it was moved into storage somewhere else in the state.

The selling dealer acquired the car from its original owner just a few months ago. Now, with six days left to bid for it, the current offer stands at $70,000, which is exactly the price tag it had back when it was purchased in 1997. As you may already know, the 8.0-liter V10 engine under the hood was rated at 450 horsepower when it was brand new, which is still decent even by today's standards.

Considering the car hasn't really moved since, all that power might still be there, although the engine could do with a tune-up after you get your hands on it. The owner has been keeping thorough records on the car, and judging by the looks and sound of it, this one might just be a real steal!
