What you are looking at here is a four-time Baja 500 winner Toyota PPI Trophy Truck that will be auctioned soon.
Drove by Ivan “Ironman” Stewart, the tubular chassis-built truck is powered by a 302 cui V8, loosely based on the 1UZ-FE Lexus engine, featuring goodies like JE Pistons and Carillo Rods, 8 EFI throttle bodies and a Weber/Redline ECU, managing to boast over 550 hp.
The engine is mated to a custom PPI transaxle, using a 5-speed Hewland VGC 200 gearbox, enabling the racecar to do 135 mph across the dunes.
For maneuverability, the suspension uses double A-arm setup with PPI coilovers on both ends, enabling 22 inch of travel.
The truck and its additional parts are expected to be sold between $275,000 and $350,000. Visit the official ad at RKMCCA here for more info.
