1978 Chevrolet Corvette Indy 500 Pace Car Barn Find For Sale

Barn finds never cease to amaze us, with the latest piece of news in this category being as sweet as sweet can be: a 1978 Chevy Corvette Indy 500 pace car!
Back in '78 Chevrolet offered the 'Vette a 25 anniversary birthday by releasing creating a special example that was used as an Indy 500 pace car and subsequently releasing a special edition replica of the car, with only 6,502 units being brought to the world.

The first owner of the car decided to keep it away from the road in the first place and found a spot for it in its garage. In 1995, he sold his house and the car was sent to a storage facility in the Detroit area, where it was locked being covered with boxes.

Now, Corvette Mike New England is offering the car for sale, with the vehicle, which only has 13 miles on its odometer, being excessively original: the website claims that the tires are filled with the original air and that the engine is still in running condition. It even explains that it want to use the original half tank of 1978 gasoline! We really don't know why...
