1974 Porsche 911 Hot Rod Could Be a Low-Cost Singer 911 Alternative

You don't get to see "Porsche" and "Hot Rod" being placed in the same sentence too often and yet this is exactly what we want to talk about today.

The 1974 Neunelfer in these images has been given a bad boy look, albeit one that seems to stick to the clean build principles.

Despite living in North America, this 911 has been gifted with many Euro-spec parts, such as the front bumper, which now includes headlight washers and the H4 headlights.

Then again, you're most likely to notice the Getty ducktail or the shaved rear apron and we couldn't hold anything against you for that.

As for the rolling goodies seen here, we're talking 16-inch BBR RS centers and 17-inch custom lips, with 24k gold bolts. As for the rubber, we're dealing with 195/40 R17 Yokohama tires.

Since we mention this sportscar's connection to the road, we'll also tell you it has been lowered to the Euro-spec model's ride height.

Climbing inside the 911, we find plenty of new items, from the black leather dash to the rear parcel shelf.

While the driver's floor board and the pedals come from Rennline, the Recaro Pole Position seats are an even more valuable asset, mixing black leather with gray Alcantara centers.

The rear end of this Porsche is occupied by a 1982sc three-liter flat-six. The short block was rebuilt by Bruce Abbott back in 2012, while the unit is mated to a 1981 915 tranny. As you can expect, all the contents of the engine compartment are either new or rebuilt, so there's no reason to worry about the aging process. Leave that to men's skin cream advertisements.

The retro-cool Neunelfer is currently for sale on autotrader.ca, being advertised for $38,000.

In a particularly twisted description, we see this Porsche as a Singer 911 scaled down to almost a tenth of the price.
