We won't blame folks over in Simla, Colorado if they happen to avoid watching baseball for a while. Who could point their finger at them after the baseball-sized hail joined forces with tornados to tear the area apart earlier this week?
Nonetheless, these people are strong and so are their muscle cars. Let's take the Ford Mustang in the image above, for example.
The 1971 Mach 1 Stang defied a tornado that destroyed everything around it, standing on all four and appearing unaffected by the tumultuous events.
The car was in a shed when the weather's caprices hit and, despite the structure being completely taken apart, the Mach 1 looks ready for action. Well, at least as prepared as it was before the barbarian wind hit - the car doesn't look 100 percent mint, but we can't be sure whether a wash would be enough to restore it to former glory of it this was an example that needed a bit of repair work anyway.
Oh well, at least the Simla disaster didn't lead to any casualties, with material damage being the only result.
Regardless, giving tornadoes the finger seems to be a special skill of muscle cars, new and old. This Blue Oval story reminds us of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat that laughed in tornado's face last month.
All we need now is a Camaro playing the same game and this muscle car story will be complete. Don't get us wrong, we hate tornados as much as most people do, but you just know they're going to strike again, so the Camaro would better be prepared.
