Jaguar Land Rover have announced a brand new sport car that will be shown next year. Instead of naming it using the current system, somewhere along the line of XE, they chose to revive and old name and called it the F-Type indicating its a veritable spiritual successor the the E-Type roadster from the late 60s and 70s.
The F-Type will also be available as a coupe later on, so this is the perfect time to remind you about the coolness of the old E-type counterpart. This car destined to be shipped from the US back to Europe, but paperwork slowed the deal down too much. Now it’s for sale on craigslist with Main Street Motors, a classic car dealer in New Jersey, for just $14,500.

This is a Series 2, with modifications such as new seats an exposed headlight instead of streamlined ones. It also has an enlarged grille at he front to better cool the engine.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
