Last month we wrote about this awesome Grabber Orange-painted 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Twister Special that was about to cross the block with Mecum Auction in Kansas City.
We are now back to report that the rare Cobra Jet-powered musclecar has found a new owner. One that paid $107,500 to take this beauty back home with him. He will now be enjoying one of the only 48 Twister Specials built with Ford’s famous 428 cubic inch Super Cobra Jet engines.

The vehicle is also part of a group of 96 specially ordered and consecutively numbered Ford Mustangs that were made exclusively for Ford Kansas City sales district dealers. Other highlight include power front disc brakes, tinted glass, a C6 automatic transmission, Magnum 500 wheels and a factory drag-pack option.

Documented with Marti Report, this Mustang was driven for just 698 miles since 1993 and has only 9,365 original miles on its odometer.

During the same event in Kansas City, a 1970 Mustang Mach 1 Twister Special with a 351 cubic inch engine and Shaker was hammered at $82,000.
