The Hemi 5.7-liter engine is already being used on a wide range of models, and it’s without a doubt one good choice for every restomod out there, as it unleashes enough power to transform every car it propels into one small monster.
The 2009 revisions the Hemi engine has received, for example, allowed it to develop 370 horsepower on the Charger R/T, 375 horsepower on the Challenger R/T 6-speed manual, and no less than 395 horsepower on the 2013 Ram 1500.

And now the same engine is putting this 1968 Charger in motion too, as a restomod treatment that was completed in 2017 gifts the car not only with a more powerful powertrain but also with a modern feel inside and outside.

Built by JAMZ Muscle Carz in Lexington, Missouri, this Charger is therefore powered by a 2013 5.7-liter Hemi engine paired with a Tremec 5-speed transmission. A series of other mechanical upgrades are also offered, such as Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes with Hydroboost, Reilly Motorsports front suspension and 4-link rear end, as well as a dedicated ECM unit from Hotwire and TTI Headers with a 3-inch exhaust.

The interior of the Charger is a mix of classic and modern bits, so you get a stock package coming alongside a Vintage Air system, Dakota Digital custom gauges, a new steering wheel, and a Retro Sound system that features all the bells and whistles of a new-generation sibling, including Bluetooth support.

All of these make the Charger a restomod you just can’t ignore, and truth be told, this is pretty impossible if you see this car on the street given the bad look and the engine under the hood.

As for the price, of course such a restored model can’t be cheap. Posted on eBay by seller caddimanben, this Dodge restomod can be yours today in exchange for $125,000. The car is parked in Henderson, Nevada should you want to check out all of the about in person.
