1967 Renault Rio Wood Car Up for Sale at $25,000

Some people “wood” do anything to attract attention and stand out from the crowd. And when it comes to getting attention nothing does it better that the 1967 Renault Rio Custom Wood Car. This custom confirms the fact that automobiles don’t always have a metal body, sometimes they have a “wood-carved” one. The car is currently owned by Dezer Collection, a museum in North Miami Florida known for its collection of American vintage vehicles, Hollywood and European classic movie cars and motorcycles.

The Renault Rio custom has an entirely wood-made body, and comes complete with an engine and chassis that are fully functional. The 1967 Renault Rio is a two-seater sports car that despite its wooden body, is built on a Renault 4 CV Chassis. Right from the beaded seats of the four wheeler to the front grill, this convertible is entirely made of the organic material.

The car comes with a 750cc 4 Cylinder engine and a 3 speed transmission. The Rio goes on to prove that being wooden bodied is not going to affect its performance. The Renault is bound to make heads turn whenever it would go on its rounds. All this “eco-crafted” car needs is a pair of knowledgeable, safe and caring hands.

This customized car is one that few can afford. You need to be either a business tycoon or a celebrity to afford the one-off piece for yourself. The car recently went on sale for $25,000 so if you want to go “green” (as a matter of fact… brown) this is definitely the car for you
