Seeing bikes older than half a century restored to the state they were in when they left the factory back in the day gives me an unnatural desire to go out and buy the first retro motorcycle I can find. You'll probably understand how I feel at times as you lay eyes on this 1966 Triumph TT Special 650CC T120C.
This super-sweet British beauty is the work of Rob Couch and is a frame off restoration job. It involved the complete teardown of the bike in order to be able to reach all the bits an pieces and eliminate all rust and imperfections.
With zero electronics on the bikes half a century ago, you can imagine that these engines are a bit more complicated from a purely technical point of view and involve more moving parts, and this only makes restoration more difficult.
Rob's Triumph is quite a looker and I can imagine he's really proud of the job. Enjoy classic British bike-making after the jump.
