And yet, despite shining bright like a diamond, this 1965 Mustang convertible features a change that some might not like. But more on this later.

First and foremost, this is a ’65 Mustang powered by a 289-ci (4.7-liter) V8 engine paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. And everything is running beautifully, which means the Mustang is ready to become your daily driver if that’s what you’re looking for.

According to Unique Specialty and Classics, the garage currently in charge of selling the car, the interior is in pretty good shape, and the carpeting, the dash, and the seats make no exception.

If you’re interested in original parts, the radio and the wipers are working properly, and the seller says the car is stock both inside and outside. This is good news for those who are not big fans of restomod projects and are looking for a Mustang that’s in the same condition as it was when it left the factory.

The only problem is the car has already received a repaint. It was originally a Champagne Beige model, yet a previous owner decided to apply a Vintage Burgundy finish and pair it with a black vinyl convertible top.

If you don’t mind the color change, then you’re good to go. According to the listing, the odometer shows a little over 98,200 miles (158,000 km), though it’s not clear if they’re all original or not (there’s a good chance they are, though).

The Mustang is currently listed for auction on eBay, and the bidding starts at $500 (though the reserve obviously hasn’t been met just yet). If you want to buy it without a fight, it’s also available on the dealer’s page with a $27,900 fixed price.
