Dodge Coronet was manufactured until 1976, so it’s not the kind of common car that you can easily find these days. And when it comes to a restoration project, this is even harder, especially as this would require a car in a relatively good condition.

The ’65 Coronet right here could be that car, as despite looking like it would use some help, it still comes with a body that shows little to no rust.

Spotted by Instagram car spotter hemisublime, who has previous come across plenty of classics abandoned in the middle of nowhere, this ’65 Coronet appears to be stored in some kind of garage. This could be the reason it’s still in such a good shape, although the photos here only provide us with a quick look at the exterior without no specifics on the interior.

The “Dodge This” Coronet still appears to have the original grille, headlights, and wheels, which as said earlier, is something that doesn’t happen too often these days. And needless to say, this increases the likelihood of a successful restoration project should anyone decide to give it a try.

The ’65 model is actually part of the fifth-generation Coronet, and it was offered with a choice of several engines, out of which the top-of-the-line was the 440ci (7.2-liter) RB Magnum V8. It goes without saying we don't know about the powerplant that once powered this abandoned Coronet, but hopefully the engine is still in there and with a little luck, it can still run.

Needless to say, the Coronet right here once again shows that classic cars are still there if you know where to look, only that they’re waiting for someone to give them a second chance and be fully restored. We still don’t know if this Dodge is getting this second chance, but we can only hope sooner or later we’ll see it becoming a daily driver for a new owner.
