It goes without saying that a 56-year-old car that’s just spotless isn’t something that you come across on a regular basis. And when the car in question is a 1964 Chevrolet Impala, then the whole thing is definitely worth checking out.
Posted on Craigslist, this ‘64 Impala is actually a barn find, and the owner says it’s been stored for some 40 years without anyone even starting the engine.

But this doesn’t necessarily mean it’s an abandoned car. In fact, it’s a “zero-rust car,” the seller guarantees, and it’s “spotless underneath.

Indeed, the photos that are published in the ad seem to suggest this is a rare gem, but what’s worth knowing is the car has already received a series of improvements lately. It has a new alternator, new brakes, a new gas tank, and likely other refinements here and there.

But otherwise, “it’s all original,” according to the listing.

This Impala only had two owners, if we really trust the information shared by the seller. The first of them “was an old lady in Mississippi that just used the car to go church on Sundays.” While it’s all up to the buyer to verify these claims, the second owner was a “family friend who had [it] since ‘79.

The Chevy is fitted with a 283 cubic inches V8 engine, which should technically be in tip-top condition given that everything else looks so good. A photo of the engine that you can also check out in the gallery here indeed seems to be pointing to a working unit, so at first glance, you should be able to drive this car back home after buying it. The car has 79,000 miles (127,138 km) on the clock, so we’ll just assume that the church was pretty far away from the old lady’s house.

The seller wants $11,000 for the ‘64 Impala, so if you believe it’s worth the money, you can find the contact information in link above.
