A gorgeous 1963 Chevrolet Impala Custom Convertible previously owned by NBA star Kobe Bryant will cross the block at Barrett-Jackson’s 2014 Scottsdale car auction next week.
Commissioned by Bryant’s wife in 2006, the bespoke two-door sedan was built by famed shop West Coast Customs and delivered to Kobe Bryant as a Christmas present. The rust-free vehicle was disassembled and reworked inside and out, getting multi-coat paint job and a custom V8 engine enhanced with Edelbrock headers and billet accessories.
But that’s not all, the purple American classic was also gifted with modern brakes, power tilt-function steering wheel, hydraulic suspension with Pro Hopper pumps, white leather upholstery with Swarovski crystals and a trunk-mounted stereo system.
The vehicle was featured in the November 2007 Lowrider magazine and will be auctioned off at no reserve in about a week. More photos of Bryant's former Impala are available below.
