Just about every automaker out there – including Ford - is contemplating today what tomorrow is going to look like when deliveries will be handled autonomously by all sorts of creepy-looking vehicles. But how about handling those parcels with some vintage flavor?
Sure, this 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery listed for sale by Vanguard Motor Sales for quite a hefty amount ($69,900) might not be the savviest idea from a business standpoint for such services. But we do have a few other use case scenarios that quickly came up after seeing it looking so Street Rod pristine.

How about setting up the rear with a beefy audio setup and enjoy a great tailgate party during off-hours – and when the situation finally presents itself adept at such classic events? We could even imagine a little sofa on one side and a PS/Xbox setup with a large LED TV on the other one.

Nevermind our crazy use cases because we need to get down to serious business with this 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery that went through a frame-off restoration and custom build to come out looking so hot. The Blue paint finish bodes well with the light gray interior, although we do have a comment about the bucket seats, which look a bit too modern for the overall atmosphere.

On the other hand, although a bit surprising at first, finding a GM small block V8 engine under the hood might settle the bling on this ride; there's a lot of polished aluminum and chromed components in there to complement the stainless steel and chrome ones found on the outside.

The 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery has just 2,508 miles (4,036 km) on the odometer, so it should drive like a charm, thanks also to the four-speed automatic transmission, 9-inch Ford rear end with limited slip differential, and the powered brakes or rack and pinion steering.

Last, but not least, we can’t help but mentioning some of the most interesting details of this neat Street Rod, such as the Dakota Digital instrument gauges, integrated backup camera for the rear-view mirror, or (above all) the XLerator-muffled dual exhaust setup.
