November brings another bike formerly owned by Steve McQueen under the hammer of auctioneer Mecum. This time we're looking at a true piece of bike history: an 1938 Harley-Davidson WLD Solo Sport.
The bike shows the original paint from the factory and its odometer shows 21,000 miles (~33,790 km).
One of the coolest things about this bike is that it also comes complete with McQueen's personal tools which have been found wrapped in a piece of denim cloth in the frame-mounted toolbox.
Just like one would expect, the McQueeen ownership is fully documented and the lucky winner of the auction will take home the bike and the original bill of sale from estate sale, odometer statement from estate sale, original auction catalog from estate sale and 1984 Certificate of Authenticity.
Mecum will have this bike (lot S138.1) auctioned on November 23 in Anaheim, California. For more info on the bike, please get in touch with Mecum.
