When Dodge came up with the Ram SRT-10, the engineers who made strapped a Viper engine to a pickup truck and added warranty to the package weren't exactly sane. They decided the standard muscle was far from enough, so the only solution was to climb to an almost quadruple level. That's right, this blue collar machine now packs over 1,900 hp at the crank.
So what does it do with all that power? Well, don't expect to find it at the ranch. Instead, you should go searching for the big-hearted monstrosity at the drag strip.
That's where the machine recently set a new world record for its breed. The bed-gifted vehicle managed to dive into the 7s quarter mile category, stunning everybody around. Think about it, this Ram is only about half a second slower than the world's fastest Nissan GT-R, the Alpha Omega. To be more precise, the Ram pulled a 7.97s run at 183 mph (295 km/h).
The best part of the story? This is a street-legal machine
