The 2020 Toyota Supra is obviously one of the hottest topic on the world wide web these days, even though the opinions on the Mk V are split. Of course, the popularity of the badge is mostly owed to the Mk IV - the previous generation of the Supra wasn't born as the top sprinter out there, but the tuning-friendly nature of the machine brought along a massive fan base. So, let's see a fourth-gen Toyota Supra at work, shall we?
The example that brought us here has been taken far, far away from the factory spec. As such, the machine now allows the one linking the pedals to the steering wheel to play with around 1,700 ponies.
And the piece of footage at the bottom of the page allows us to get a sample of the machine's sprinting might.
To be more precise, the Supra can be seen playing with a Yamaha R1. And while the superbike could easily leave an Italian exotic behind, for instance, the story is quite different with the 2JZ wielder we have here.
The battle between the Supra and the R1 kicks off at the 1:58 point of the video. Nevertheless, the rest of the clip is also worthy of your attention.
For instance, this shows the Toyota duking it out with a Nissan GT-R. And while I'm not sure the R35 is stock, Godzilla certainly isn't prepared for the horsepower invasion of the Supra.
Of course, all that power doesn't come without drawbacks. For instance, the setup involves a great deal of turbo lag, while entering the ideal rev band feels like stepping on a bomb.
Now, while these aficionados used the road to play, please don't use this as an example. In other words, make sure to hit the drag strip when those hooning urges kick in.
P.S.: Here's a 2020 Supra playing a similar game.
