After a Europe-wide tender to operate six bus routes along the Rhine-Main public transport network in Germany, it was the Winzenhöler bus company that won once again.
At the same time, they also increased their fleet by acquiring no less than 15 new Setra low-floor buses which will accompany eight Mercedes-Benz Citaros, half of which are Euro VI complaint.

“We are a medium-size, family-run company, but with our buses we are operating one of Germany's largest regular-service bus fleets with proven environmental credentials. On top of this, since 2008 we have only purchased environmentally friendly buses, all of which carry the "Blue Angel" seal of quality.” said Christian Winzenhöler, managing partner of the bus company.

The 15 Setra and Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses will cover approximately 1,3 million kilometers each year.

Apparently, the ties between the Winzenhöler bus company and the Setra brand go a little bit deeper than today, as they actually bought their first Setra S 10 bus back in 1953 and have been a loyal customer ever since.
