With a few exceptions involving children being taught how to hoon cars, all the drivers involved in street racing are fully aware of how dangerous such activities are. And yet they choose to follow their emotions as if they were children and keep flooring it, which can easily lead to crashes such as the one we have here.

This accident took place in Kosovo and it's special since it ended a street race involving a pair of V10-animated machines. Oh, and here's a tip - none of the cars had nearly as many cylinders when they left the factory.

That's because we're talking about a Mk IV Volkswagen Golf and an E36-generation BMW 3 Series Coupe. And while the Golf got away without a single scratch, we can't say the same about the Bimmer.

The 3er, whose V10 heart probably comes form an E60-generation BMW M5 (this is the "norm" in the BMW engine swap realm), crashed while doing the kind of speeds you don't want to think about.

The first piece of footage below, which was captured by a camera potato strapped to the Golf, shows the BMW driver losing the rear end and overcorrecting, which sent the coupe spinning into the protection element on the side of what appears to be a highway.

There's also a second video of the crash, which was captured by one of the race's spectators. While having the same poor quality, this clip offers us the view from behind.

In case the V10-animated Golf seen here looks familiar, it's probably because you've checked out our previous stories on the matter. We're dealing with a velocity beast that has been gifted with the 5.0-liter V10 of the C6-generation Audi RS6, with a twin-turbo setup being added for... street racing proficiency.

At least for now, this Golf packs no less than 1,300 hp, being able of delivering performance such as a 2.5s 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint. Hopefully, the car will remain in one piece throughout its newfound tuning life.
