On certain occasions, we enjoy coming up with answers to questions nobody asked. Earlier today, we set out to help those wondering what the automotive equivalent of preppers is. We think the owner of the Porsche we're going to talk about fits the profile just fine.
Meet Eddie Bello, a man who is more than ready to face the turbocharged revolution that Porsche will bring upon us at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

Porsche will, for the first time, introduce turbo models to the 911 range outside the Turbo or the GT2, which hasn't even arrived yet. In case you want to get up to speed with the expected turbo news for the 991.2 facelift Carrera and Carrera S, you'll find a complete story here.

Returning to the prepping part, Eddie knows his way around cars. Over the years, he's gone from an RX-7 to a 90s Nissan 300Z that he gifted with a V6 Buick Grand National engine swap.

Oh and he also breaths to drag race. Eddie has been pulling second-gear wheelies in his 1993 Porsche 911 for years now. His 964 has grown over the years, with the twin-turbo setup now having a devastating effect. So yes, Eddie is ready to turbo age.

Think about it - this man has to keep playing on the boost, while his car does monster wheelstands. And he's not even aiming to put on a show. His goal is to go faster and faster, preferably in one-mile races.

The running

We remember him smoking a twin-turbo Lamborghini Gallardo that Underground Racing had tuned all the way up to 1,500 HP.

So how much power does his 911 make? Around 1,300 horses. But with that engine at the back and a lighter-than-stock front end (think high-end mods such as a carbon fiber hood), Eddie is racing into uncharted territory. It's not like you can call your local tuner and ask him about how to make your 1,300 hp TT 911 faster.
