Since Mclaren only returned to the road car business half a decade ago, the tuning market for Woking machines obviously isn't as rich as that enjoyed by Ferrari or Porsche machines.
However, the Woking-dedicated part of the tuning world is growing fast and we're here to talk about one of the most important names in this realm, namely Charlotte-based Hypercar Development.

The aftermarket developer has been playing with Maccas for a few years now and while their 800+ hp upgrade is already out there, the company is now adding the finishing touches to its 1,200 hp package - here's Matt Farah's canyon adventure in an 840 hp 12C built by the company.

Yes, we're talking about a 12C that roughly packs twice the number of horsepower the factory setup delivers. And we'll remind you that the 12C is the kind of supercar that can give you a bit of neck pain when accelerating in maximum attack mode.

The piece of footage at the bottom of the page allows us to see the 1,200 pony supercar tearing up the dyno. And while the stock car already spits flames, as we found out during our 12C review, the one we have here is nothing short of a weapon.

Keep in mind that, while the factory setup delivers a pair of turbines, the supercar we have here packs a tri-turbo setup. The approach was chosen in order to allow for the kind of power delivery required by a streetable setup.

As you can imagine, the team behind this development has even bigger plans for the future. To be more precise, the developer aims to deliver a 1,500 hp package. As for how all that power can be translated to the road, the tuner aims for its speed devil to be able to hit monstrous speeds. We'll keep you posted as the updates roll in.
