1000 HP Turbo Honda S2000

The Japanese sportscar revival era is upon us, but for a while it seemed we would never again be able to buy anything other than boring German cars with lots of power but no “wow” factor. Yet hardcore fans keep the ricer scene alive with older models that have been discontinued, tuned with more equipment than some race craft.
Even though we love the idea, this machine is admittedly a little crazy. The good ol’ VTEC four-banger in the Honda S2000 has been fitted with a turbo and now produces Bugatti Veyron numbers. The turbo is so large, they fitted a custom vented hood with a scoop and open exhaust through the front fender.

The S2000 is a real monster at the drag strip , almost hitting the wall on two occasions due to its squirmy nature. But the driver manages to keep it straight and puts in a 9.3 second time, which is respectable.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
