Galpin Auto Sports has published a few teaser photos with their new GTR1, a supercar based on the 2004-2006 Ford GT that’s scheduled to be revealed to the public at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance later this week.
Unfortunately, the images reveal just a taillamp and the engine, while the third one shows a covered vehicle, so we’ll just have keep our shirt on and wait for the GTR1 to be fully revealed in a couple of days.
As a reminder, the Galpin-modified Ford GT is powered by a twin turbo 5.4-liter V8 powerplant that delivers 1,024 HP, 739 lb-ft of torque, and a top speed estimated at more than 225 mph (362 km/h). The supercar features a hand crafted all aluminum body, 20-inch forged aluminum knock-off wheels, Pirelli P-Zero tires, and six-piston brakes with carbon rotors.
Inside, the Galpin GTR1 gained a machined aluminum instrument cluster, a McIntosh sound system, leather trimmed seats, dash, door panels and headliner, and other features that we’ll probably learn about as the vehicle breaks cover.
